Final: As in my final thoughts, final blog…

When I looked up todays word, it was as if the universe was trying to subtly whisper something in my ear.  For today, this will be my final blog for “wannareadmymind.”  My intention is to leave my account active, at least for the time being for those who would like to read some of the things that have been rattling around in my headspace over the past months.

I would not be able to close out my final blog without saying a very heartfelt “Thank You” to many of the wonderful writers, I have had the “virtual” pleasure of meeting.  Part of the reason for keeping my account active is to hopefully stay in touch with you from time to time.  “Thank You” to those who chose to follow me!  I never intended on trying to reach astronomical numbers, more so my hope was to reach people who may have shared the idea that anyone and everyone can make a difference…

I wish you all the best in your journey and hoping you find whatever it is that brings you; peace, happiness, vindication or simply a smile…

XO

    1. Hey there… I am sorry that I need to step away so abruptly. As I mentioned to my friend, life has reminded me that it is not fair, nor even. Hopefully in time, I can find the same fire that I used to light my torch. Until then… I walk in the light provided by others. “Thank you” for complimenting my work! 🙂 I hope others still get to read them and they help inspire future writers and readers, while bringing attention to very important issues.

  1. Okay I don’t know what made you come to this decision but I definitely respect that and I want to say thank you very much as well for creating all the posts and spreading awareness on various topics!

    1. Hey Moon… 🙂 For the record, you’ve been my fav on here. The past few days, have taken a toll on me in a mental and emotional nature. These past few days have reminded that “life is not fair, nor even.” Writing has been an escape for me, but somehow… My escape turned into my confinement. Some how, I let the very issues that I wanted to bring to light… Dim my own torch. When I combine that with my life outside the keyboard, I sometimes feel as if I have lost my strength. I still plan on reading your blog as well as some others. Like I said earlier… You are my fav! My decision was a bit rash, but I believe necessary. At least for right now… Maybe after some time, I will find the fire to relight my torch. Until then, I humbly walk in the light provided by you and your fellow bloggers. 🙂

      1. I understand. Honestly said I find myself in a similar situation about a different serious issue that’s happening in the world. Spreading awareness on the world’s problems is good but those who do so deal the most with them. This creates a big influence for, we can’t force others to see things the way we do… Get well soon and thank you for your kind words!

  2. Hey! I know I haven’t been a very consistent reader of your blog lately (haven’t really been on WP for some time, all in all), but I was always so happy to see someone being so passionate about spreading awareness on these very critical social issues.

About the issues taking a toll on your well-being… I just wanted to say that the same thing happens to me—all the time. I always wondered if it was normal, getting so emotional while working on a piece that addresses a political/social topic, and then feeling completely angry afterwards. Most of the things I write I haven’t posted as of yet, but I can’t help but being bothered by the fact that all I can do to alleviate the suffering of the world is to pass it on to others in the form of words. I suppose that’s a rather pessimistic view of it, but I know that the issues must have a greater effect on the author than they do on the reader, as NewMoonPlan had said.

Nevertheless, I hope you continue writing, whether it be covering issues, stories, or poetry! I’m definitely going to read some more of your work.

    1. Thank you very much! When you have passion for what you are writing about, it is difficult not to become emotionally invested. I have not been writing as much either. I feel for the most part, it is time to step away from the keyboard for a while. Good luck in life and in writing! Best wishes!
